Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Crisis Childcare Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our childcare floor, ensuring a trauma-informed care environment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supervising a team of childcare providers and volunteers, providing comprehensive training, and managing staff performance.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily operations, including supervising childcare providers and volunteers, and ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
  • Provide comprehensive hands-on training to the childcare team, including coaching and mentoring.
  • Manage staff performance, address issues verbally and through written documentation, and conduct regular performance evaluations.
  • Communicate effectively with the Crisis Nursery Manager and other stakeholders, resolving issues and addressing concerns.
Administrative Tasks:
  • Maintain accurate records, including Critical Incident Reports, disclosures, and other documentation.
  • Coordinate training and development opportunities for the childcare team, including CPR, First Aid, and AED training.
  • Ensure compliance with ODJFS licensing rules, ODE standards, and CARF regulations.
Family Support:
  • Document home, day, virtual, or onsite visits and appointments for children with guardians.
  • Communicate status of children to guardians, manage child/guardian phone communications, and conduct intakes and discharges.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Early Childhood Education or Social Work.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a related role, preferably in a crisis center or childcare setting.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to coach and mentor staff.
