Job Title: Lead Substation Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Substation Engineer to join our team at PEAK Technical Staffing USA.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the design and construction of power substations, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design and development of substation systems, including relay schematics, wiring diagrams, and SCADA layouts.
  • Manage and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget.
  • Develop and implement quality control processes to ensure that all projects meet the required standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, construction, and operations, to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, promoting their growth and development.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, codes, and regulations, ensuring that all projects comply with the latest standards.
Requirements:
  • BSEE or BSEET degree from an ABET-accredited university, preferably with a power option.
  • Current Professional Engineers License with the ability to obtain a professional engineering license in states served.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in the power-energy industry, with a proven track record of success in leading substation design and construction projects.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to direct and motivate teams to achieve project goals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
