Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team. As a key partner to our Corporate Controller, you will be responsible for leading the month-end close process, creating key account reconciliations, and providing daily/monthly reconciliation of bank accounts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Month-End Close Process: Lead all aspects of the month-end close process, including calculation/posting of journal entries and maintenance of workpapers.
  • Key Account Reconciliations: Create key account reconciliations on a monthly basis.
  • Bank Account Reconciliation: Perform daily/monthly reconciliation of bank accounts.
  • Payroll Oversight: Oversee payroll employee and payroll backup as needed, review and post payroll entries.
  • ERP Expertise: Serve as an expert in the financial area of our ERP system.
  • Issue Resolution: Help resolve issues with third-party benefit administrators.
  • Fixed Asset Schedules: Maintain fixed asset schedules.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Provide reporting and analysis to the organization as needed.
  • Year-End Tax and Audit: Assist in year-end tax and audit work as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • Experience: 2-3 years of experience in public accounting and 2-3 years of experience in a manufacturing firm with full cycle accounting and month-end close responsibilities.
  • Skills: Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and macros. Payroll oversight or administration experience preferred. ERP experience, particularly with Epicor ERP, highly desired.
