Position Overview:

As a Community Engagement and Event Management Intern, you will collaborate closely with our marketing team to facilitate event communication and coordination both within our organization and the broader community. Your role will involve assisting in the planning and execution of various events, including seminars, fundraisers, and community initiatives in partnership with local organizations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Event Coordination: Support the planning and execution of events, ensuring all logistics are managed effectively.
  • Logistics Management: Assist in coordinating volunteer staffing, vendor arrangements, and the setup and breakdown of event spaces.
  • Communication: Liaise with staff, vendors, and community members to guarantee seamless event execution.
  • Administrative Support: Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, preparing documents, and maintaining event records.
  • Promotional Activities: Aid in the creation and distribution of marketing materials, including flyers and social media content.
  • On-Site Support: Provide assistance during events, overseeing setup, managing volunteers, and addressing any arising issues.
  • Community Representation: Act as a representative at community events, helping to develop outreach strategies to engage with local members and organizations.
  • Feedback Collection: Assist in gathering feedback from participants to assess the effectiveness of events and outreach efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Interest in event management or pursuing a degree in related fields such as Marketing, Public Relations, or Communications.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to learn quickly.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Familiarity with digital event promotion tools and social media platforms.
  • A positive attitude and a willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.
