- Assessing, planning, intervening, and evaluating the breastfeeding mother and infant(s)
- Identifying and preventing breastfeeding problems
- Documenting care accurately and timely

The ideal candidate will have:
- A graduate degree from an accredited nursing program
- International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) certification
- A minimum of 3 years clinical experience in maternal/neonatal nursing
- Knowledge and practical application of theories and principles of ILCA
