Position Summary:
The ideal candidate will bring substantial expertise and comprehensive knowledge of mortgage lending standards, regulations, and underwriting principles.

This role is perfect for an experienced branch manager, loan officer, or senior loan processor seeking to advance into a managerial position.

Under the direction of the regional manager, this role entails overall accountability for the daily functions of the branch.

Responsibilities include overseeing and coordinating daily operations to ensure prompt, accurate information and competitive financing options.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Monitor the capture rate and ensure proactive follow-up on potential external loans.
2. Analyze program usage and profit margins for the branch.
3. Provide recommendations to the regional manager regarding necessary loan programs.
4. Participate in sales meetings and builder events as required.


5. Establish, coordinate, and supervise branch work procedures and activities, ensuring efficient loan processing and timely closings.

Lead a substantial volume of work and manage the staff within the branch through effective leadership and guidance.


Communication and Collaboration:
Facilitate the flow of information to team members and sales personnel regarding current mortgage rates and available loan programs to assist home buyers.
Originate and maintain a robust loan pipeline.


Collaborate with new home sales teams to engage with customers in completing loan applications and gathering necessary documentation for loan approval.

Prepare and communicate initial Loan Estimates.

Prequalify potential borrowers as necessary.

Oversee all negotiations related to customer loan pricing.

Manage the loan transaction process by liaising with applicants, processors, underwriters, and creditors to address inquiries regarding application details.

Ensure timely scheduling of loan closings to align with the needs of home builders and borrowers.

Maintain an active NMLS and Florida Mortgage Loan Originator License (or the ability to obtain one).

Work Environment:
This position requires onsite presence and may involve travel to various builder communities within the Home Builder Division.

Qualifications:
1. Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent specialized training from a two-year college or technical school, coupled with a minimum of seven years of relevant experience, including supervisory roles and a thorough understanding of branch operations, loan processing, and underwriting fundamentals.

Skills Required:
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and organizational skills with a detail-oriented approach.
- Ability to interpret and evaluate information in relation to lender requirements and underwriting guidelines.
- Customer-service oriented with the capability to manage challenging situations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with diverse individuals.
- Adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple significant activities simultaneously.
