We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Healthcare Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team at Reno Behavioral Healthcare Hospital. As a key member of our housekeeping department, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sanitization of patient rooms, auxiliary rooms, and other areas throughout the hospital.
Key Responsibilities- Cleaning and Sanitizing: Clean and sanitize patient rooms, offices, and waiting areas using cleaning chemicals and disinfectants, adhering to infection-control policies and procedures.
- Equipment Maintenance: Clean and maintain all cleaning equipment and supplies according to prescribed standards.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and replenish inventory of supplies, including paper towels, soap, and toilet paper.
- Waste Management: Handle and dispose of waste using standard procedures.
- Training and Development: Assist the Housekeeping Supervisor in training new employees in proper cleaning and disinfecting protocols.
- Customer Service: Uphold the Organization's ethics and customer service standards, providing excellent service to patients, visitors, and staff.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Certifications: CPI obtained within 60 days of hire.
- Experience: Two (2) years of housekeeping experience in a healthcare setting.
- Skills: Good attention to detail, ability to follow sanitation and safety requirements, customer-focused, planning and organizing skills, high energy levels, strong verbal communication skills, and strong interpersonal skills.
- Physical Demands: Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and stand for sustained periods. Walk, push, pull, lift, carry objects from a lower to higher position or horizontally from position to position or otherwise move objects. Feel sizes, shapes, temperatures, and textures by touching with skin, particularly that of the fingertips. Express or exchange ideas orally and potentially loudly, accurately, or quickly. Minimum standard of hearing ranges. Lift up to 50 pounds, exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 30 pounds of force frequently. Minimum standard of visual acuity with or without correction.
