Nursing Professional Development Practitioner

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Nursing Professional Development Practitioner to join our team at Saint Agnes Medical Center Careers. As a key member of our Clinical Education and Development team, you will play a vital role in supporting the provision of quality healthcare practice environments and fostering a culture of excellence in nursing practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide staff development expertise as an educator, consultant, facilitator, change agent, leader, and researcher.
  • Support the development of bedside nurses and clinical support staff through education, training, and coaching.
  • Facilitate the educational process through assessment, development, planning, implementation, and evaluation of competency assessment, continuing education, and leadership development.
  • Model professional behavior and create a healthy, professional environment within the service line.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing or related health field required; Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or other applicable master's degree preferred.
  • Three (3) years of specialty experience in the designated clinical area required.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California required.
  • National certification in area of specialty within 18 months of hire required.
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider CPR card required.
  • National certification in Nursing Professional Development preferred.
