Your practice will be guided by the ANA Scope of Practice for Nursing Professional Development role, and you will provide staff development expertise as an educator, consultant, facilitator, change agent, leader, and researcher.

Key responsibilities will include:

* Developing and implementing educational programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of bedside nurses and clinical support staff
* Facilitating the educational process through assessment, development, planning, implementation, and evaluation of competency assessment, continuing education, and leadership development
* Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to create a healthy, professional environment that fosters empowerment and excellence in patient care
* Providing coaching and mentoring to staff to support their professional growth and development

In addition to your clinical expertise, you will possess excellent interpersonal communication skills, teaching abilities, problem-solving skills, and the ability to navigate constant ambiguity and change.

**Requirements:**

* Bachelor of Science in Nursing or related health field
* Three years of specialty experience in the designated clinical area
* Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California
* National certification in area of specialty within 18 months of hire
* Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider CPR card
* Current American Heart Association (AHA) ACLS/NRP (where applicable)
* National certification in Nursing Professional Development (preferred)
