**Job Title:** RN Quality Improvement Specialist

**Job Summary:**

Nicklaus Children's Hospital is seeking a highly skilled RN Quality Improvement Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting quality improvement initiatives, utilizing clinical knowledge and expertise to drive patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with leadership to identify and develop quality improvement plans, utilizing data from various registries and collaboratives.
  • Partner with clinical subject matter experts to analyze, monitor, and improve key performance indicators.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to create a culture of quality and safety, driving performance and quality outcomes.
  • Ensure quality and patient safety standards are incorporated into current processes and development of new system processes.
  • Establish a Quality Meeting to drive department quality improvement initiatives related to patient outcomes.
  • Develop reports, graphs, and visual representations from organizational databases to provide information to stakeholders.
  • Support department in creating a standard approach for quality issues.
  • Serve as primary contact for quality-related data and reports.
  • Conduct clinical reviews to monitor quality performance and improvement efforts.
  • Communicate with clinical disciplines and physician advisors to clarify criteria and summaries.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) required within 24 months of hire.
  • RN Licensure within the State of Florida or Multi-State Enhanced Nursing License Compact (eNLC) - maintain active and in good standing throughout employment.
  • 3-5 years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Nursing or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in healthcare quality management and performance improvement.
  • Strong clinical background with ability to understand medical terminology, diagnosis, and treatment plans.
  • Certification or training in quality improvement.
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with medical staff, department heads, and colleagues.
