Summary:
The Surgical Technologist plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient execution of surgical operations.
Key Responsibilities: Set up the surgical environment with necessary drapes, solutions, instruments, equipment, and supplies. Ensure the availability and proper handling of instruments during surgical procedures. Maintain an accurate count of instruments and supplies throughout the surgery. Process and manage specimens for laboratory analysis. Utilize critical thinking and decisive judgment while working autonomously in a fast-paced setting. Qualifications: Certification as a Surgical Technologist or Surgical Assistant. High School diploma or GED, or military training. State registration as a Surgical Assistant or Surgical Technologist. Minimum of 6 months of experience as a Surgical Tech or completion of an accredited Surgical Tech program. Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer, valid prior to employment commencement. Benefits:
