Position Overview:
Under the guidance of the Revenue Audit Manager, the Revenue Audit Supervisor plays a pivotal role in the auditing process, overseeing the daily functions of the Revenue Audit team, and ensuring that tasks are executed in alignment with the internal control systems of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the revenue auditing team to guarantee adherence to regulatory requirements and internal protocols concerning the internal control system.
- Manage the application of approved auditing methodologies and address any audit-related issues within established frameworks, including the completion of necessary documentation.
- Engage in both gaming and non-gaming daily audits.
- Collaborate with management to establish performance expectations for the team, provide training, offer constructive feedback, and suggest personnel actions as necessary.
- Ensure a balanced audit task schedule while considering training objectives.
- Verify the accuracy of account mapping in the casino auditing software to ensure proper transaction recording in the general ledger accounting system.
- Conduct reconciliations of activities from the casino auditing software to source systems.
- Execute monthly, quarterly, and annual audits as required.
- Perform regular reviews of each auditor's work to ensure compliance with intended audit procedures and internal control standards.
- Foster effective working relationships and collaborate with various departments to address and resolve audit discrepancies.
- Maintain a high standard of professionalism and integrity while respecting the confidential nature of the role.
- Identify inaccuracies and discrepancies, compare data, and provide timely, precise reports of all inconsistencies to management with suggested resolutions.
- Mentor, develop, and coach team members, facilitate problem resolution, maintain open communication, and recommend disciplinary actions when appropriate.
- Create a work environment that encourages teamwork, recognition, mutual respect, collaboration, performance feedback, and overall team satisfaction while exemplifying the core values and culture of the organization.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED Certificate.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or equivalent experience.
- Experience in an auditing role or a similar capacity.
- Two years of experience in casino gaming operations, preferably with supervisory responsibilities.
- Recordkeeping experience in an accounting or related field.
- Familiarity with gaming operations related to slots and table games.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations, rules, procedures, and administration.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook), with advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables) preferred.
- Must apply for, receive, and maintain a Gaming License from the relevant authority.
- Native American hiring preference applies.
- Organizational Awareness: Understanding the internal systems, situations, procedures, and culture to identify potential issues and opportunities.
- Quality Orientation: Setting high standards for work and continuously seeking ways to enhance quality.
