Family Empowerment Coordinator

Jamaica Plain Neighborhood Development Corporation (JPNDC) is seeking a Family Empowerment Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our Family Childcare program, you will play a vital role in supporting the growth and development of low-income families in Boston.
The Family Empowerment Coordinator will be responsible for planning and facilitating monthly events and activities for families in our Family Childcare system. This will include enrichment activities, parent-child interactions, and opportunities for parents to engage in career and educational programs.
You will also coordinate with community partners, such as the Family Nurturing Center and Walker School, to provide workshops and support services to families. Additionally, you will develop and implement outreach strategies to recruit and engage families in our program.

Key Responsibilities- Plan and facilitate monthly events and activities for families in our Family Childcare system
- Coordinate with community partners to provide workshops and support services
- Develop and implement outreach strategies to recruit and engage families
- Meet with newly enrolled families to inform them about program activities and services
- Follow up with parents as needed to ensure their needs are met
- Bilingual in Spanish and English or Haitian Creole and English
- Flexible schedule, including occasional evenings and weekends
- Reliable transportation
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
