Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Director of Accounting to join our executive team at Community Health Partnership of Illinois. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker and a hands-on leader who can effectively manage all finance and accounting functions within the company and has experience working with a FQHC.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company's growth and profitability goals
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the finance team, ensuring accurate financial reporting and analysis
  • Oversee budgeting, Grant reporting, and Budget allocation
  • Manage Care billing/negotiation
  • Collaborate with other executives and department heads to make informed business decisions
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and reporting requirements
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness of finance operations
  • Prepare presentations and reports for senior leadership and board of directors meetings
  • Manage Charts of account for multiple grants

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, or related field
  • CPA or CFA certification preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance roles, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership position
  • Strong knowledge of budgeting, accounting, and strategic planning
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to lead and develop a high-performing finance team
  • Experience working for a FQHC is a preferred
