Role Overview
As a Fixed Wing Pilot, you will report directly to the Chief Pilot. You will collaborate closely with fellow crew members, dispatch, flight attendants, maintenance teams, and line service personnel to ensure a safe and compliant flight environment for both passengers and crew, fulfilling the air transportation requirements of Pfizer Corporate Aviation.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Pilot in Command (PIC) in managing flight operations and aircraft operation as directed.
- Actively engage in Crew Resource Management (CRM).
- Operate the aircraft in compliance with FAR, international regulations, Pfizer policies, and aircraft limitations.
- Maintain effective communication at all times while on duty.
- Ensure fiscal responsibility for personal travel expenses.
- Uphold a professional image that positively represents Pfizer.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding all information related to Pfizer, its executives, and traveling guests.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Chief Pilot.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree is required.
- Current FAA Class I Medical Certificate, valid Passport, and Restricted Radio Operator Permit are mandatory.
- Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills (both written and verbal), especially in high-pressure scenarios.
- Fixed Wing pilots must reside within 60 miles of the Pfizer aviation facility.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, including the ability to influence, collaborate, and guide colleagues towards achieving significant outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications
- A minimum of 3000 flight hours, including 1500 hours as PIC and 1000 hours in turbine aircraft, with type ratings preferred.
- Military flight experience will be considered when assessing flight time qualifications.
- International flying experience is advantageous.
- Experience in corporate or VIP aviation is preferred.
- G-650 type rating is a plus.
- A strong safety record and commitment to maintaining high standards of flight safety and operations.
- Proficiency in modern flight planning and navigation systems.
- Ability to adapt and respond to unexpected changes and challenges.
- Familiarity with the MS Office suite.
Physical and Mental Requirements
- This position requires prolonged periods of sitting.
- Occasional lifting of up to 70 pounds may be necessary.
Work Schedule and Travel Requirements
- Fixed Wing pilots must maintain residency within 60 miles of the Pfizer aviation facility.
- Rotating shifts, including holidays and weekends, as well as on-call status, are standard.
- Ability to fly on short notice is essential.
- Extensive domestic and international travel is required.
Additional Information
This position is subject to a mandatory retirement age of 65 years.
