Fleet Maintenance Supervisor Job Summary

At Texas Pride Disposal Solutions LLC, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fleet Maintenance Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will be responsible for supervising a team of technicians and ensuring the safe and efficient maintenance of our fleet of heavy equipment and vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and direct a team of technicians to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment and vehicles.
  • Plan and schedule repair work to ensure timely completion and minimize downtime.
  • Monitor and report on operational performance and efficiency, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
  • Conduct daily shop huddles, fleet walks, and coaching sessions to ensure technicians are performing tasks safely and efficiently.
  • Perform inspections of outside repairs to ensure compliance with company safety and compliance procedures and federal and state regulations.
  • Identify training opportunities and document issues and corrective actions as needed.
  • Conduct quality control inspections and track issues and resolution to ensure all work is properly completed.
  • Oversee repair diagnostics and provide coaching and guidance as needed.
  • Manage related administrative matters, including payroll, employee records, and maintenance software.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in maintenance working with class 8 refuse trucks.
  • 3 years of supervisory experience in a lead technician role or similar management position.
