Job Title: Fleet Maintenance Supervisor

At Texas Pride Disposal Solutions LLC, we are seeking a highly skilled Fleet Maintenance Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising a maintenance shop and overseeing the maintenance and repair of our fleet of heavy equipment and vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise a team of technicians and provide direction to ensure that all repair and maintenance work is performed in a safe, efficient, and timely manner.
  • Monitor operational performance and efficiency, and take action to redirect activities as needed.
  • Report to management on performance and make recommendations for process improvements.
  • Supervise technicians in the maintenance shop, including conducting daily shop huddles, fleet walks, and coaching/counseling/training technicians as needed.
  • Perform inspections of outside repairs to ensure all work was properly completed in accordance with company safety and compliance procedures and federal and state regulations.
  • Identify training opportunities and document issues and corrective action as needed.
  • Conduct Quality Control Inspections and track issues and resolution to ensure all work is properly completed.
  • Oversee repair diagnostics on complex matters and provide coaching as needed.
  • Maintain advanced knowledge of engine, emission systems, transmission, brake, hydraulic, and electrical systems to perform advanced preventive and repair maintenance functions.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or G.E.D.
  • Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification
  • T3 Drive, T4 Brake, T5 Suspension and Steering, T6 Electrical/Electronic, T7 HVAC Systems, ASE T2 Diesel Engine, ASE T Master Certified
  • 6 years of experience in maintenance working with class 8 refuse trucks
  • 3 years of supervisory experience in a lead technician role, supervisor, or other management role requiring a thorough knowledge of safe working practices, DOT, OSHA, and other federal and state regulations.
