We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fleet Mechanic to join our team at Oak Farms Dairy. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on our fleet of trucks and trailers, ensuring they are in optimal operating condition.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements
- Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues with trucks and trailers
- Work with minimal supervision, exercising judgment and discretion in resolving issues or making repairs
- Collaborate with other mechanics and supervisors to complete complex repairs
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Stay up-to-date with manufacturer recommendations and industry best practices
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2-4 years of experience in a maintenance or repair role
- Certification and/or license in a relevant trade (e.g. mechanic certification, CDL license)
- Experience with diagnostic equipment and software
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Ability to read and understand driver inspection reports
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
