Atlassian DevOps Expert

We are seeking an experienced Atlassian DevOps Subject Matter Expert to join our team at Optimized Technical Solutions Inc. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of Confluence, Jira, and Bitbucket, as well as extensive experience in scaling these applications on AWS infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Administer and maintain Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket) to ensure optimal performance and availability.
- Customize and configure Jira projects, workflows, screens, and dashboards to meet business requirements.
- Manage Confluence spaces, templates, and macros to enhance collaboration and documentation.
- Administer Bitbucket repositories, permissions, and integrations to support development workflows.
- Design, implement, and manage scalable AWS infrastructure for hosting Atlassian applications.
- Optimize AWS resources for cost-efficiency, performance, and reliability.
- Implement and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and monitoring strategies for Atlassian tools on AWS.
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and scalability challenges in Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket.
- Implement best practices for scaling Atlassian applications to handle increased load and usage.
- Ensure security best practices are applied to all Atlassian applications and their AWS environments.
- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
- Implement access controls and compliance measures in line with industry standards and regulations.
- Develop and maintain scripts and automation tools to streamline Atlassian administration tasks.
- Integrate Atlassian tools with other enterprise systems and tools to enhance productivity and workflow.
- Provide technical support and training to users of Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket.
- Develop and maintain documentation for Atlassian tool usage, administration, and best practices.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest features, updates, and best practices for Atlassian tools and AWS services.
- Proactively identify areas for improvement and implement enhancements to Atlassian environments.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience administering Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket).
- Extensive experience with AWS infrastructure, including EC2, RDS, S3, VPC, IAM, and terraform.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation.
- Strong knowledge of database management and optimization (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL).
- Experience with containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Atlassian certifications (e.g., ACP100 Jira Administrator) are highly desirable.
- AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are highly desirable.
