Cultivate a spiritually enriching environment within the healthcare setting by participating in and organizing prayer services on special occasions and facilitating moments of reflection in patient waiting areas.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver personalized spiritual care to patients through visits, follow-up support, and responses to spiritual inquiries.
  • Connect patients with appropriate sacramental resources and clergy members as needed.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of spiritual care interactions and interventions.
  • Stay current on best practices in spiritual care and relevant ethical guidelines for healthcare.

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Divinity (M.Div.) or equivalent theological education.
  • Minimum of four units of Clinical Pastoral Education (ACPE-approved).
  • Certification as a chaplain from an accredited Chaplaincy Organization.

Skills and Attributes

  • Deep understanding of ethical and religious directives within the healthcare context.
  • Demonstrated commitment to honesty and integrity in all relationships.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and sometimes challenging environment.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency with computer systems and office equipment.

Experience

Three years of experience providing spiritual care in a hospital or hospice setting.
