Position Summary: Spice House, LLC is seeking a Retail Sales Supervisor who possesses a passion for spices and a results-driven mindset. This role involves inspiring and guiding our team of Spice Merchants to meet sales objectives through outstanding customer interactions. The ideal candidate will exhibit a strong work ethic, a proactive approach, and a desire to advance in leadership within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enhance both personal and store sales performance through deliberate selling techniques that motivate and influence customer purchasing decisions.
- Deliver exceptional customer service in a specialty food retail setting, utilizing effective problem-solving skills for both internal and external challenges.
- Establish rapport through engaging conversations and honest recommendations tailored to customers' preferences and needs.
- Demonstrate confidence and initiative in training and mentoring the Spice Merchant team in a supportive manner.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked sales floor and product displays.
- Participate in daily operational tasks, including opening and closing procedures alongside fellow team leaders.
- Assist with inventory management through our product management system, ensuring accurate organizational processes and execution of POS functions.
Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of retail experience or related fields; prior leadership or supervisory experience is preferred.
- Proficient in computer skills and relevant technologies.
- Friendly and approachable demeanor with a strong dedication to customer service; enjoys connecting with people.
- Ability to communicate clearly and persuasively when engaging with customers and driving sales.
- Composed, professional, and adept at problem-solving.
- Physical capability to lift up to 25 pounds and remain on feet for extended periods.
- Willingness to work weekends as needed.
- A genuine passion for food and flavor is essential.
