Prepared Foods Department Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Prepared Foods Department Supervisor to join our team at Whole Foods Market - Upper West Side. As a key member of our prepared foods team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the department, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving sales growth.
Key Responsibilities- Team Leadership: Supervise and delegate tasks to prepared foods team members, ensuring a high-performance team and minimizing turnover.
- Training and Development: Work with the prepared foods trainer to train team members, utilizing learning checklists and training materials.
- Department Operations: Maintain a clean, well-stocked, and properly rotated department, adhering to established procedures.
- Customer Service: Foster a positive environment, ensuring exceptional customer service and responding promptly to customer needs and questions.
- Performance Management: Provide timely, thorough, and thoughtful performance evaluations, consistently communicating and modeling WFM vision and goals.
- Experience: 12+ months retail experience, preferably in a prepared foods or food service role.
- Skills: Excellent interpersonal, motivational, team building, and customer relationship skills, with a strong ability to teach others in a positive and constructive manner.
- Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of prepared foods team procedures and policies, with a strong understanding of regulatory and safety policies and procedures.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift 50 pounds, stand/walk for 6-8 hours, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Environmental Factors: Exposure to FDA-approved cleaning chemicals, temperatures up to 90°F, and ability to work in wet and dry conditions.
