Job Description

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Design Engineer to join our team at Activ8, LLC. As a Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing automotive components, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product launches.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop automotive components, including mechanical systems, electrical systems, and software.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure design meets industry and governmental standards.
  • Develop and maintain engineering drawings, schematics, and Bill of Materials for internal and customer use.
  • Assist with prototype development, simulation, and testing, including Finite Element Analysis (FEA) functions.
  • Interface with customers regarding design reviews, potential changes, approval, and manufacturing feasibility.
  • Ensure products meet industry and governmental standards.
  • Participate in meetings regarding project status with both internal departments and outside customers.
  • Assist management in design department process improvement and performance analysis.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred, OR equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 1-5 years' experience (including internships, co-ops, etc.) in Design, Product, or Release Engineering preferred.
  • Familiarity with CATIA V5 and/or 3-D Ideas design programs preferred.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and improve engineering drawings and schematics.
  • Strong communication and collaboration ability in a multicultural environment.
  • Good problem-solving, time management, and multitasking skills.

Work Environment:

This position includes manufacturing and warehousing work environment. While performing the duties of this job, you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, lift in excess of 25 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear.
