Responsibilities

As a Clinical Nurse in the Operating Room, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care while maintaining a safe and efficient environment. Your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Assessing patients' physical and emotional needs, developing individualized care plans, and implementing evidence-based interventions
  2. Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, provide education, and promote seamless transitions
  3. Administering medications, treatments, and therapies as ordered by physicians and according to established policies and procedures
  4. Evaluating patients' progress, adjusting care plans as needed, and documenting all interactions and interventions in accordance with hospital policies
  5. Assigning or delegating tasks to designated support personnel based on patients' needs and facility guidelines
  6. Participating in quality improvement initiatives, sharing best practices, and contributing to a culture of safety and excellence

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must possess:

  • An Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN/ASN) from an accredited school of nursing
  • A current RN license in the State of Kentucky
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification via the American Heart Association
