The University of Kentucky is seeking a skilled Nurse Clinical/On-Call Specialist to join its team. This role offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive care to patients with epilepsy and other neurological conditions.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced nurse who can work independently as well as part of a team. The ideal candidate will have strong direct patient care and critical thinking skills, as well as excellent communication and organizational abilities.

Job Description
  • Provide total, comprehensive, continuous, and patient-centered care, including assessing, documenting, planning, implementing, teaching, developing, and evaluating a comprehensive nursing plan of care;
  • Deliver direct patient care, ensuring patient satisfaction, and training and delegating duties for Nursing Care Technicians (Nursing Assistant);
  • Work collaboratively with the nursing staff and team of physicians to increase communication and enhance expected patient outcomes;
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A minimum of 1 year of RN experience;
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or higher;
  • Knowledge of Maslow's eight Basic Human Needs and Gordon's Functional Health Patterns Framework, as well as Swanson's Caring model;
Estimated Salary

$73,465 per annum (based on national averages for Registered Nurses in the UK).
