POSITION OVERVIEW
JOB TITLE: Group Fitness Instructor (GFI)
EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Hourly, Non-Exempt
SALARY RANGE: $21.00-$28.00 per hour based on experience
Group Fitness Instructors are compensated at the hourly rate specified above and receive minimum wage for any preparation time or class time exceeding 60 minutes per session.

EMPLOYEE BENEFITS

OUR MISSION
To deliver an outstanding member experience through enjoyable and fulfilling fitness activities. Group Fitness Instructors are dynamic, knowledgeable leaders who inspire and UPLIFT participants through movement and community within a group fitness setting.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Consistently deliver an exceptional fitness experience to all studio members by embodying our UPLIFT core values.
- Ensure the Vasa Uplift Member Experience (VUME) is implemented in every session.
- Arrive punctually and prepared, ensuring the environment is ready and members are welcomed on time.
- Safely and accurately demonstrate exercises and movements while actively monitoring class participants.
- Execute post-class procedures, including cleaning, sanitizing, and organizing to maintain a safe and welcoming environment.
- Be approachable, professional, and engaging, providing excellent customer service by promptly addressing member needs and concerns.
- Possess knowledge and communicate clearly while teaching a safe and effective class that accommodates various fitness levels and abilities.
- Inspire and energize participants by fostering a community within the class that is inclusive, enjoyable, and supportive.
Actively promote classes to retain current participants and attract new ones.
