Sanitation Technician 1

Are you dedicated to maintaining a clean and orderly environment? The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is seeking a Sanitation Technician 1 to join our dynamic team. This position is essential for performing vital cleaning duties to ensure the cleanliness and functionality of our facilities and grounds.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
In this role, you will undertake various cleaning responsibilities, which include:
- General cleaning of facilities, focusing on locker rooms and restrooms.
- Executing both dry and wet mopping of floors.
- Conducting building maintenance tasks such as trash collection, dusting, sweeping, washing, and waxing floors, vacuuming, and window cleaning.
- Utilizing small hand tools or equipment like riding mowers, weed eaters, edgers, and hedge trimmers.
- Performing landscaping duties, including weeding, maintaining planting beds, and caring for trees and shrubs.
- Managing snow and ice removal from sidewalks and driveways, raking leaves, and addressing minor storm damage as needed.
It is crucial to select the appropriate tools and equipment for each task, use them effectively, maintain them post-use, and ensure that all materials and workmanship adhere to established standards.
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time position.
- Standard work hours are from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with a 30-minute lunch break.
- Salary: Starting salary may be non-negotiable in certain cases.
