About the Role

Sysco is seeking a highly skilled Diesel Fleet Technician II to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our fleet of vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, and other vehicle systems.
  • Conduct inspections and diagnose problems with vehicles and equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks, such as oil changes and tire rotations.
  • Repair and replace parts as needed, including brakes, suspension, and electrical systems.
  • Work with other technicians and mechanics to complete complex repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used.
Requirements
  • 2-year school and 1 year of experience or 3 years of experience in fleet maintenance and repair.
  • Current and valid driver's license. (CDL highly preferred)
  • ASE certifications; Automotive or Medium/Heavy Duty Trucks (Preferred, Not Required)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Medium / Heavy Duty truck technical training
  • High school diploma or GED

The Diesel Fleet Technician II will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on safety and efficiency. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
