Part-Time Registered Nurse BPHCC Position

Job Summary:
We are seeking a Part-Time Registered Nurse to join our team at the Badger Prairie Health Care Center (BPHCC). As a Part-Time Registered Nurse, you will provide skilled nursing services to residents in a long-term care environment. You will work under the general supervision of the Director of Nursing Services or Nurse Manager and will be responsible for coordinating and providing resident care, leading and directing nursing staff, and collaborating with inter-disciplinary teams.
Responsibilities:- Identify resident care needs and develop and implement the plan of care for residents.
- Record resident information in the electronic medical record.
- Prepare and administer medication to residents.
- Perform prescribed nursing treatments.
- Complete resident assessments.
- Observe and record resident's response to medication, physical and mental condition.
- Coordinate the duties and responsibilities for the shift with the charge nurse, Clinical Care Coordinator and/or the Nurse Manager.
- Communicate and coordinate implementation of the care plan.
- Coordinate and collaborate with other members of the interdisciplinary team to facilitate and evaluate resident care.
- Monitor CNA performance of duties for completeness and adherence with resident's plan of care.
- Maintain the confidentiality of all resident personal health information and comply with all HIPAA requirements.
- Assume charge nurse functions, including scheduling.
- May care for residents who have infectious pathogens.
- Applicants must possess an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
- Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse and legally able to practice as such in the State of Wisconsin.
- Must also be certified in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
- Must have a valid driver's license, or access to reliable personal transportation, or equivalent.
- Access to a telephone.
- No previous criminal convictions for abuse, mistreatment or neglect of others.
