Front Desk Coordinator

Colorado Retina Associates is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Front Desk Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our front office staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to our patients and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Greet patients and visitors with a warm and welcoming smile, ensuring a positive first impression of our practice.
- Manage patient flow, checking patients in and out, and scheduling appointments as needed.
- Collect patient co-pays and balances, ensuring accurate and timely payment processing.
- Verify insurance eligibility and scan insurance cards into our electronic health record system.
- Prepare physician schedules, ensuring accurate and efficient patient placement.
- Calculate self-pay totals and collect money owed, maintaining accurate financial records.
- Schedule and reschedule patients as needed, communicating with physicians and staff to ensure seamless patient care.
- Transact vitamin sales to patients, maintaining accurate inventory and sales records.
- Check visitors in and out, maintaining a secure and welcoming environment.
- Keep track of all transactions, completing a daily closing log to ensure accurate financial records.
- Account for all fee tickets at the end of each day, maintaining a secure and organized workspace.
- Communicate with physicians and staff to ensure timely and accurate patient care.
- Stock and maintain drink stations and waiting areas, ensuring a clean and welcoming environment.
- Maintain schedule for staff assisting with kitchen clean up, ensuring a clean and organized workspace.
- Turn on and off lights, computers, and front door, ensuring a secure and energy-efficient environment.
- Send a daily email to the Front Office Manager, providing a summary of patient activity and any notable issues.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, maintaining a secure and compliant work environment.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior customer service experience preferred, with a medical background highly desired.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to multitask and work accurately and efficiently, with a high level of attention to detail.
- Knowledge of electronic health record systems and medical software, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new systems.
- Ability to work a rotating Saturday schedule, with flexibility to work additional hours as needed.
