Crisis Intervention Specialist

Position Overview: The Crisis Specialist is tasked with delivering both phone and mobile crisis intervention services, which encompass triage assessments and crisis management strategies.
Work Schedule: This is a Part-Time position with weekend shifts available.
Program: Valley Creek Crisis Center
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough crisis assessments, triage, and stabilization interventions.
- Administer clinical evaluations to determine the level of care required.
- Engage in telephone crisis counseling to identify suitable interventions.
- Participate in mobile outreach efforts across various community settings.
- Conduct necessary follow-up contacts for aftercare.
- Collaborate effectively with community partners.
- Facilitate service referrals and linkages as clinically appropriate.
- Maintain accurate documentation of clinical services provided.
- Ensure timely submission of supporting documentation for all clinical interventions.
Education: For the Crisis Specialist role, a Master's degree in clinical or counseling psychology, clinical social work, or addictions is required, or a Bachelor's degree with five years of relevant experience. For the Crisis Counselor position, a Bachelor's degree is necessary.
Experience: Candidates should have experience in a behavioral health environment, specifically in crisis assessment, triage, intervention, and familiarity with community resources and systems.
Licensure/Certification: Preferred licensure and/or certification in the relevant field.
Clearances: Must pass Pennsylvania Child Abuse, Criminal, and fingerprint-based federal criminal history checks; verification of non-inclusion on any Medicaid/Medicare Exclusion list is also required.
Note: Additional related experience and/or education may be considered in lieu of the specified requirements at the discretion of the Personnel Officer.
Compensation and Benefits: Chimes-Holcomb offers a competitive benefits package for employees working a minimum of 30 hours per week, including health insurance, flexible spending accounts, and paid time off. Employees may also participate in a 403(B) plan with company matching, and other benefits may be available for those working between 25-29 hours per week.
