Physical Demands:

This role may involve prolonged periods of sitting, standing, or walking.

Work Schedule:

Shifts will vary. Candidates must be available for daytime, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts as needed by the department. A minimum of 36 hours per month is required.

Role Overview:

The Recreation Therapist is responsible for designing, executing, and overseeing therapeutic recreational activities tailored for various client groups. This role includes conducting assessments, formulating treatment plans based on individual needs, and effectively communicating with team members regarding client progress. The therapist collaborates within a multidisciplinary team to address clinical client matters and is tasked with managing recreation equipment logistics.

Essential Skills and Competencies:

The ideal candidate will have experience in a therapeutic recreation setting, particularly within a healthcare environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position does not include supervisory duties.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree and certification as a Therapeutic Recreation Therapist.
