Job Summary

Summit Medical Group, P.L.L.C. is seeking an experienced Certified Clinical Medical Assistant to join their team of professionals in Rheumatology Associates. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in clinical support and be proficient in performing various medical procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare them for examinations and procedures according to the provider's preferences.
  • Record vital signs, including pulse, blood pressure, height, weight, etc.
  • Perform procedures such as phlebotomy, injections, EKGs, and holter monitors.
  • Assist physicians with procedures, administer medications, and conduct patient education.
  • Handle phone nursing duties, including triaging, pre-certs, referrals, and calling in prescriptions.
  • Perform clerical duties necessary for providers to see patients, such as contacting patients about test results and scheduling appointments.
  • Prepare patient records for physicians and maintain stocked, neat, and clean exam rooms.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and state and federal regulations.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Additional vocational or college credits preferred.
  • Medical Assistant Certification required.
  • Clinical experience preferred.
