We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nursing Technician to join our team at the University of Tennessee Medical Center. As a Nursing Technician, you will play a critical role in providing direct patient care and supporting the nursing staff in delivering exceptional patient outcomes.
About the RoleThe Nursing Technician is responsible for assisting registered nurses with various tasks, including taking vital signs, collecting specimens, and providing personal care to patients. You will also be responsible for maintaining a safe and clean environment for patients, as well as participating in ongoing education and training to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Responsibilities- Assist registered nurses with taking vital signs, collecting specimens, and providing personal care to patients.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients by emptying trash, restocking supplies, and reporting any safety concerns to management.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge, including competency-based orientation and periodic evaluation.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, working effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to meet customer service goals.
- High School diploma or GED required; licensure as a Nursing Assistant in the state of Tennessee preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

- Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
$38,000 - $45,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
