Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Emergency Department Technician to join our team at Henry Ford Health System. As a key member of our emergency department, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with patient care activities, including vital signs, blood draws, and EKGs, under the supervision of a registered nurse or provider.
  • Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and families during times of crisis.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care and efficient department operations.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge in emergency department procedures and protocols.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • BCLS certification required.
  • Previous experience in emergency department or medical assistant role preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
