The Emergency Department Registered Nurse assumes full responsibility for the quality of nursing care provided to individuals and groups. This includes health maintenance, teaching, counseling, and restoration of optimal functioning and comfort or dignified death of those served.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care in the emergency department
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Delegate nursing activities to other registered nurses and healthcare personnel as needed
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient information
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development to enhance nursing practice
Requirements
  • BSN degree preferred
  • Previous nursing experience in an emergency department required
  • MA RN license, BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required
  • MediTech software/hardware experience preferred
