Position Overview:

The Nightly Operations Auditor is responsible for executing the night audit functions to uphold financial integrity and adherence to hotel protocols. This role requires collaboration with various departments, including Security and Housekeeping, to guarantee exceptional service for all guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compile daily Restaurant Revenue Report data by reviewing Point of Service tapes and journals to detail revenue, covers, waiter fees, tips, and settlements by type and cashier.
  • Generate audit reports and journals from the front office system, Point of Service, and computer systems.
  • Address corrections and adjustments, managing any technical issues that arise during the shift.
  • Input revenue, expenses, and allowances into the front office system to produce daily reports, including the Guest Ledger Summary and Daily Restaurant Summary.
  • Ensure nightly balancing of all revenue and settlement accounts, maintain organized files, and prepare the system for the following day’s operations.
  • Adhere to attendance policies and maintain regular availability for work.
  • Perform additional job-related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in the hospitality industry is preferred.
  • Basic mathematical proficiency and the ability to perform accurate calculations using a 10-key.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively address guest and associate concerns in a courteous manner.
  • Proficient in accessing and accurately entering information into a moderately complex computer system.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor communication style to various audiences, including supervisors, coworkers, and the public.
