We are in search of a medical oncologist specializing in sarcoma, focusing on the advancement of translational research and clinical trials aimed at treating these complex diseases.
The chosen candidate will assume comprehensive responsibilities encompassing programmatic, clinical, administrative, academic, and research leadership within the sarcoma oncology program. This role involves spearheading the development and maintenance of a diverse clinical research portfolio, which includes investigator-initiated studies, cooperative group collaborations, and industry-sponsored trials, achieved through partnerships with basic scientists and translational researchers.
Furthermore, the medical oncologist will engage collaboratively with fellow faculty members within the Division of Medical Oncology and across Cedars-Sinai Cancer. Participation in educational initiatives, research endeavors, and community outreach activities that align with departmental and organizational priorities will also be expected.
The sarcoma oncology team, composed of highly skilled clinicians and research professionals, is dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care, pioneering research, and continuous education in the field of sarcoma oncology. Our team includes a committed group of medical, surgical, and radiation oncologists, as well as physician-scientists, all working in unison to propel research efforts related to sarcoma.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Extensive training and proven success in medical oncology
- A demonstrated ability to collaborate with a diverse array of colleagues and organizations
- A strong track record in clinical research, teaching, mentoring, patient care, and administration
- An exceptional history of conducting research on cancer, particularly in relation to lifestyle and metabolic risk factors
- A professorial appointment at the Associate or Professor level
- Board certification in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology
- The ability to secure an unrestricted California medical license
