The Collateral Management Operations Lead is tasked with overseeing and enhancing the allocation of collateral within triparty repo frameworks. This position guarantees that collateral is allocated, monitored, and reported accurately and efficiently, adhering to regulatory standards and internal protocols. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical capabilities, meticulous attention to detail, and a comprehensive understanding of triparty collateral allocation mechanisms.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collateral Allocation and Oversight:
    • Supervise and actively manage the daily matching and allocation processes on BONY Tri-party platforms (BONY Domestic AccessEdge & Global AccessEdge).
    • Demonstrate a solid grasp of cash management processes and utilize the eCPO tool on AccessEdge for optimizing triparty allocations.
    • Execute daily collateral allocations in triparty agreements, ensuring precision and adherence to contractual obligations.
    • Monitor triparty allocation levels and optimize them to fulfill margin requirements and mitigate risks.
    • Reconcile allocated triparty positions and promptly address discrepancies.
    • Possess knowledge in processing triparty loans and allocation uploads in the Broadridge Impact (ICI) system.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting:
    • Generate and analyze reports on collateral allocation, utilization, and sufficiency.
    • Identify trends and areas for enhancement in collateral allocation processes.
    • Provide the front office with morning collateral reports to kick off the trading day.
  • Regulatory Compliance and Risk Management:
    • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies concerning collateral management.
    • Collaborate with risk management teams to evaluate and mitigate risks associated with collateral allocation.
    • Engage in internal and external audits, supplying necessary documentation and procedural clarifications.
  • Process Optimization:
    • Identify opportunities for automation and process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
    • Work with internal and external teams to implement and test system enhancements.
    • Maintain operational procedures and task controls for triparty allocation processing activities.
  • Client and Counterparty Engagement:
    • Communicate with clients, counterparties, and custodians to resolve issues related to triparty allocations.
    • Deliver exceptional customer service and support to both internal and external stakeholders.
    • Ensure effective communication to keep all parties informed about triparty allocation statuses and requirements.
  • Talent Management:
    • Guide and develop team members to enhance individual skills and overall department performance.
  • Process Control:
    • Oversee key process controls and manage critical escalations.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • 5-10 years of experience in triparty allocations within a broker-dealer environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in BONY AccessEdge, BONY BDC, and MS Excel is essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.

The typical base salary range for this position is between $120K - $152K, depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This role may also qualify for discretionary performance-based bonuses and/or incentive compensation.
