Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Human Factors Engineer to join our team in San Diego, CA. This role will play a key part in the design, development, use testing, documentation, and launch of our clients' products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advocate for patient and customer needs to ensure our products are safe, effective, and easy to use.
  • Support product management and engineering personnel in establishing ergonomic and usability-related requirements for new products.
  • Represent the human factors engineering function on core teams for small to large-sized projects.
  • Implement various research methods to inform design decisions and risk analyses.
  • Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to contribute to user interface designs and risk analyses.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create prototypes and test them with users.
  • Develop and leverage user-centered design principles to inform product development.
  • Support documentation review and development, including risk analyses and human factors engineering reports.
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant standards and guidance documents.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years of experience in product development.
  • Strong communication, creative thinking, and team player skills.
  • Ability to learn new products, technologies, and methodologies quickly.
