Job Summary

The Maintenance Superintendent is a critical role at ADM, responsible for ensuring the material condition of our facilities and assets. This dual-reporting position requires a strong leader who can balance day-to-day execution with technical direction and asset strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maximize production time available on equipment, minimize upkeep costs, and manage expenditures related to equipment, spare parts, and consumable items.
  • Support plant production efforts by providing high-quality repair and maintenance services that enable the plant to meet production goals.
  • Proactively work to ensure compliance with ADM safety policies and procedures.
  • Set goals and expectations for the maintenance team, support Performance Excellence activities, and align with the ADM Maintenance and Reliability vision/strategy.
  • Manage and implement preventative maintenance and reliability activities, work with plant leadership to develop maintenance budgets, and lead root-cause analysis processes.
  • Develop and analyze maintenance/reliability metrics and performance, assist production leadership with training operations personnel, and drive effectiveness of the storeroom and spare parts inventory.
  • Coordinate maintenance programs to schedule work with/around production schedules, maintain equipment history, work history, and preventative maintenance programs, and ensure all maintenance work is documented.
  • Manage ongoing maintenance and reliability-related projects, responsible for people management and development, and identifies training opportunities for maintenance personnel.
Requirements
  • A recognized engineering qualification with time-served electrical and mechanical knowledge or a degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Production Manufacturing, or a related field.
  • Experience/leadership of Reliability Centered Maintenance processes, strong experience in a food, feed, or chemical production environment, and proficiency in asset management techniques.
  • Strong communication skills, an excellent team player, and thorough knowledge of machinery, instrumentation, and electrical equipment.
  • Ability to move throughout the facility, including climbing stairs, ladders, and working at heights.

ADM offers a competitive salary range of $88,000 to $120,000 per year, eligibility for annual discretionary bonuses, and a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance plans, 401(k) plan, and paid time off and holidays.
