The Clinical Assessment Specialist plays a crucial role in conducting thorough evaluations. This position entails identifying various challenges, suggesting suitable care levels, and formulating a detailed interpretative summary to guide the creation of personalized recovery care plans.

Required Qualifications

For Substance Use Disorder Programs

  • The candidate must hold a valid clinical social work or professional counseling license in the State of Missouri.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in the treatment of individuals with substance use disorders is required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review initial intake assessment documentation for individuals served.
  • Complete an Eligibility Determination for each individual within 24 hours of their admission.
  • Conduct face-to-face diagnostic interviews and perform all necessary admission screenings.
  • Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of the DSM and be familiar with the diagnostic criteria for all substance use and mental health disorders.
  • Develop recovery care plans for individuals served, incorporating SMART goals, objectives, and interventions.
  • Ensure timely completion of written reports for relevant parties or agencies.
  • Prepare an Interpretative Summary based on assessment data and diagnostic interviews.
  • Collaborate with the Clinical Team to assign individuals to appropriate treatment services.
  • Enhance professional skills through ongoing training and educational opportunities.
  • Participate in clinical discussions regarding individuals served, including attending meetings and providing written notes on their cooperation and engagement with program expectations.
  • Adhere to all applicable evidence-based practice models.
  • Ensure that the program operates in compliance with the agency's certification standards and strategic clinical care plans.
  • Follow all program and agency policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
