Job Summary

This role is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in an orthopedic setting, adhering to Virginia Mason Franciscan Health standards and regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans, providing education and consultation to patients, families, and healthcare professionals as needed.

Responsibilities

Assess, plan, coordinate, evaluate, and delegate patient care activities to ensure optimal outcomes
Develop and implement individualized patient care plans in collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
Provide education and consultation to patients, families, and healthcare professionals on orthopedic care and management
Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety

Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
One year of related work experience in an acute care setting, with preference for orthopedic experience
Current licensure as a Registered Nurse issued by the Washington State Board of Nursing
Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification
Specialty certification in orthopedic nursing is strongly preferred
