About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Consultant to join our team at Guidehouse. As a key member of our Commercial Healthcare Payer/Provider team, you will have the opportunity to work with clients to drive margin and operational improvement through data and business process analysis, project management, and deliverable creation.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Data Analysis and Interpretation: Use your expertise in manipulating data using Excel, Access, and other applications to coordinate teamwork products and lead teams.
  2. Operational Improvement: Work with clients to identify and implement performance improvement opportunities and savings initiatives relevant in the hospital environment.
  3. Business Acumen and Subject Matter Expertise: Develop subject matter expertise and business acumen to become a recognized, credible, and trusted partner to our clients.
  4. Communication and Presentation: Concisely articulate financial results of projects and speak about process measures to clients and stakeholders.
  5. Industry Research and Analysis: Identify key industry issues and assist in developing practice response.
  6. Project Management and Delivery: Assist in delivering Statements of Work, Project Plans, writing proposals, and presenting to client department managers or leaders.
  7. Professional Development: Actively work to expand consulting skills and professional development through training courses, mentoring, and interaction with clients.
Requirements
  1. Education: Minimum Bachelor's degree from an accredited University or College.
  2. Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of relevant work experience.
  3. Industry Knowledge: Demonstrate an understanding of hospital and health system operations.
  4. Data Analysis and Benchmarking: Able to benchmark data and leverage that data to assist clients in redesigning operational processes to drive efficiency.
  5. Research and Analytics: Ability to conduct relevant research, perform complex analytics on large data sets, and draw conclusions / make relevant recommendations based on analyses performed.
  6. Communication and Leadership: Strong written and oral communication skills, with ability to lead teams and manage through conflict.
  7. Travel: Ability to travel up to 75% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Previous Consulting Experience: Previous consulting experience, with strong client leadership skills and ability to sell add-on work and recognize business development opportunities.
  2. Leadership and Management: Demonstrated ability to lead successful teams and manage through conflict.
  3. Attention to Detail and Project Management: Ability to complete projects with attention to detail on tight timelines.
  4. Learning and Development: Assures high-quality work by taking advantage of learning opportunities and being self-motivated.
  5. Communication and Leadership: Communicates effectively and demonstrates leadership with physicians, clinicians, administrators, colleagues, and fellow Supply Chain resources.
  6. Training and Development: Aptitude to develop foundational training materials.
  7. Client Interface: Comfortable interfacing with hospital executives to report realized savings and to develop strategies for ongoing risk mitigation.
