Textile Operator

Immediate openings are available for Weaving Operators across all shifts, with an added benefit of a $2 shift differential for the 2nd and 3rd shifts. Position Title: Weaver

Reports To: Plant Supervisor

Key Responsibilities:

• Familiarity with all aspects of the weaving process.
• Understand the workflow between twisting, bobbin rewinding, and looms, ensuring materials are moved to holding areas accordingly.
• Comprehend the production schedule.
• Safely and effectively handle and lift materials and jackets in all operational areas.
• Operate machinery at a satisfactory rate.
• Accurately label and identify ply, yarns, and fabric.
• Possess knowledge of yarn types, plies, and twist levels. Understand the fundamental constructions and quality standards of jackets.
• Maintain cleanliness in all work areas, machines, and floors.
• Demonstrate skills to less experienced operators as necessary.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Ability to work safely in various environments without endangering oneself or others, and proficient in using machinery and tools.
• Ability to assess quality using gauges, tools, specifications, and charts.
• Capable of completing all necessary paperwork for operational areas.
• Team-oriented mindset.
• Effective communication skills to report any issues affecting performance or product quality to the lead, quality technician, or supervisor.
• Entry-level skill set.
• Additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor, which may include various responsibilities.

Work Environment:

Employees may encounter moving machinery, high noise levels, and vibrations. Exposure to dust is also possible.

Education/Training Requirements:

This role necessitates on-the-job training. A minimum of a high school diploma or GED is required for eligibility.
