We have openings for Weaving Operators across all shifts, with an added benefit of a $2 shift differential for the 2nd and 3rd shifts. Position Title: Weaver
Reporting To: Plant Supervisor
Key Responsibilities:
- Comprehend all aspects of the weaving process.
- Manage the workflow between twisting, bobbin rewinding, and looms, ensuring materials are organized according to production needs.
- Familiarize yourself with the production schedule.
- Safely handle and lift materials and jackets in all operational areas.
- Operate machinery efficiently to meet production targets.
- Accurately label and identify ply, yarns, and fabric.
- Possess knowledge of yarn types, plies, and twist levels, as well as the basic constructions and quality standards of jackets.
- Maintain cleanliness in all work areas, including machines and floors.
- Demonstrate skills to less experienced operators as required.
Qualifications:
- Must be physically capable of working in a safe manner and proficiently using machinery and tools.
- Ability to assess quality using gauges, tools, specifications, and charts.
- Understand and complete all necessary paperwork for various tasks.
- Work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and quality technicians regarding any operational issues.
- Entry-level skill set required.
- Additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor may include various responsibilities.
Work Environment:
Employees may encounter moving machinery, elevated noise levels, and vibrations. Exposure to dust is also possible.
Education/Training Requirements:
This role necessitates on-the-job training. A minimum of a high school diploma or GED is required for eligibility.
