Agriculture Operations Specialist

As an Operations Specialist at CHS, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our grain and agronomy facilities. Your primary responsibilities will include loading and unloading grain, agronomy, and feed products, as well as performing scheduled maintenance and repairs.
You will also be responsible for acquiring knowledge on how to monitor and maintain grain quality, mix/load fertilizer, and chemical products while assisting the loading of trains. Additionally, you will deliver fertilizer, grain, feed, and fuel to customers.

Key Responsibilities- Independently carry out general labor responsibilities promptly and efficiently, including developing and maintaining knowledge of the commodities handled at the location and complying with company policy and government regulations.
- Work with customers in a courteous and professional manner, preparing trucks and railcars for loading/unloading, and loading and unloading agricultural inputs from railcars and/or trucks using heavy or light-duty machinery/equipment.
- Control and monitor all load-out functions, understand and operate automated scale/dump systems, and conduct and properly record daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance tasks.
- Monitor and maintain the quality of inventory, deliver products to customer sites, and keep all work areas in a clean, orderly, and safe condition.
- Promptly report any customer complaints, repair or maintenance needs, or safety concerns to the supervisor.
- 2+ years of experience in Operations and/or Business Operations
- Ability to operate machinery such as loaders, conveyors, tractors, and track mobile
- Ability to work extended hours during peak seasons to meet business demands
- High School diploma or GED preferred
- CDL license or ability to attain one with Hazmat endorsement preferred
- Agriculture experience preferred
- Forklift certification preferred
