CNC Machinist

Wabtec Corporation is a leading global provider of innovative solutions for the rail and transit industries. As a CNC Machinist, you will play a critical role in our manufacturing process, working with cutting-edge technology to produce high-quality parts and components.

• Operate CNC milling machines, lathes, and machining centers to produce precision parts and components
• Set up and adjust machine tools, including presetting and calibration
• Read and interpret blueprints, job orders, and technical specifications to ensure accuracy and quality
• Verify conformance of finished workpieces to specifications
• Program and edit CNC machinery to optimize production efficiency

• Minimum 2 years of experience in CNC operations and conventional machining
• High school diploma or equivalent required; journeyman or apprentice papers preferred
• Ability to work accurately and responsibly with minimal supervision
• Strong knowledge of cutting tools and materials
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

The CNC Machinist will work in a temperature-controlled environment, with occasional exposure to extreme temperatures, fumes, or airborne particles. The position requires the ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds, with occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
