**CNC Machinist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Machinist to join our team at Wabtec Corporation. As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining a variety of machinery, including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and machining centers. You will work closely with our production team to ensure the highest quality products are produced on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain CNC machinery, including milling machines, lathes, and machining centers
• Set up and adjust machine tools, including presetting and calibration
• Read and interpret blueprints and job orders to ensure accurate production
• Verify conformance of finished work pieces to specifications
• Program and edit CNC machinery to optimize production efficiency
• Collaborate with production team to meet production demands and deadlines

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in CNC operations and conventional machining
• High school diploma or equivalent required; journeyman or apprentice papers preferred
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and work orders
• Ability to work unsupervised and make decisions with minimal supervision
• Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and move 50 pounds

Preferred Qualifications:

• Fanuc control experience
• Knowledge of cutting tools and materials
• Strategic and creative thinking to analyze issues and create solutions

Work Environment:

The employee will work in a temperature-controlled environment and may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions. The employee may be occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.
