CNC Machinist

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team at Wabtec Corporation. As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating a variety of machinery, including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and special purpose machines. You will also be responsible for producing and assuring the quality of parts, reading and studying blueprints and job orders, and verifying conformance of finished work pieces to specifications.

• Operate CNC lathes and mills and multiple machining centers
• Set up and adjust machine tools, including preset
• Read and study blueprints and job orders for product specifications
• Verify conformance of finished work pieces to specifications
• Program and/or edit CNC machinery

• Minimum 2 years of experience in CNC operations and conventional machining
• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to perform shop math calculations and read and interpret blueprints and work orders
• Fanuc control experience desired
• Journeyman or apprentice papers preferred

The employee will work at times in a temperature-controlled environment. During visits to areas of operations, may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions. Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.
